First Visit

During your first visit, we will review your medical and dental history with you, take any necessary X-rays, and perform a thorough examination to confirm your diagnosis. Pulp vitality tests may be conducted in order to determine if the nerve of your tooth is only temporarily injured and is able to recover without needing a root canal, or if it’s irreversibly damaged or infected.

Dr. Yeganegi will then sit down with you to review your x-rays, diagnosis, all of your treatment options, and answer any questions. We will also discuss costs and payment option with you.

In some instances, treatment can be completed on the same day! However, same-day treatment cannot be guaranteed.

Please bring the following to your first visit:

  • Your referral slip
  • Insurance ID card
  • Any X-rays provided to you by your dentist
  • List of any medications you're currently taking

We also suggest bringing your earphones and music to listen to during your procedure!

Please eat and take all of your medications as scheduled. There is no indication to be on an empty stomach or skip any medications prior to root canal treatment.

Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

IMPORTANT: if you were advised by your physician or dentist to take antibiotics prior to dental treatment, please follow your prescribed regimen, even for your consultation visit.

X-rays: X-rays are a crucial part of providing quality, accurate endodontic diagnosis and treatment. We will make our best effort to utilize any X-ray images that you bring in or that your dentist has sent to us, but please understand that we may need to take additional or alternate types of X-rays to obtain the image clarity, details, and specific angles needed in order for us to make the most accurate determinations.
